About AIDO Cell Simulator by GenBio

What the tool does and who it's for

AIDO Cell is a general-purpose simulator for cell biology from GenBio AI designed as a virtual cell world model. It predicts how a cell changes in response to experiments and how those changes appear across different measurements. Rather than handling single isolated assays or tasks, it holds a persistent cellular state that can be perturbed, redirected, and read out on demand, allowing multi-step experiments to unfold continuously. Powered by a world-model harness that tracks cell state across scales and converts user commands into engine operations, researchers can program, observe, replay, and debug experiments. The system provides coherent multimodal readouts including chromatin, gene expression, protein structure, localization, and morphology from a single shared state, covering scales from DNA up to whole-cell phenotypes. It also supports continuous multi-turn experimentation, enabling cell cloning to branch trajectories, and feature in-context molecular design where candidate molecules are generated to reach a desired cell phenotype. Version 1.0 prototypes well-characterized human cell lines (K-562 and Hep-G2) and achieves state-of-the-art performance across 24 of 31 metrics on the Virtual Cell Benchmark 1.0.
