What is the difference between Staccato and other AI music generators?

Most AI tools generate raw audio files which are difficult to edit. Staccato generates MIDI, meaning you can change every note, instrument, and velocity in your DAW after generation.

Does Staccato work with my DAW?

Yes, Staccato is compatible with any DAW that supports VST or AU plugins, including Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, and Cubase.

Can I use the music I create with Staccato commercially?

Commercial use is permitted for users on the Pro plans. Free tier users generally have restricted rights for non-commercial exploration.

Does it require an internet connection?

The AI processing occurs in the cloud to provide high-quality results, so an active internet connection is required to generate new MIDI and lyrics.

Can I upload my own melodies for the AI to follow?

Yes, you can upload your own MIDI or audio files, and Staccato will analyze them to create accompaniments or variations that fit your existing work.
